Neurocorrection
What is neurocorrection?
Neurocorrection is a set of corrective and developmental exercises that allows you to develop “problematic”, lagging brain functions that were identified during a neuropsychological examination.
A set of psychological techniques within the framework of neuropsychological correction is aimed at changing the structure of impaired brain functions (memory, attention, thinking, perception, etc.) and their compensation. Neurocorrection provides assistance in such a way that in the future the child can independently learn and control his behavior.
This type of correction allows you to correct the features of the development of the child, bring it closer to the normal course, and facilitate the entry of the child into the usual social environment.
Neurocorrection has become popular in working with both special children (early childhood autism, ADHD, etc.) who have problems of a sensorimotor, speech nature, with impaired attention and behavior, and for children who simply require help in preparing for school and learning. It is a very common occurrence when a child with normal intelligence, vision, hearing cannot write correctly or behaves badly in class. The reason for this phenomenon is the dysfunction of some parts of the brain.
Neuropsychological correction is indicated for:
– Childhood autism
– IMF (impaired mental function)
– DSD (Delayed speech development)
– ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
– Dyslexia, Dysgraphia
– Cerebral palsy
– Organic disorders
– Developmental disorder
– Neurocorrection effectively helps with learning problems of a different nature.
The most exciting question for parents: “For what age of children is neurocorrection calculated?”. The most effective technique for children aged 5 to 12 years. The sooner the diagnosis of the disorder is carried out and the therapy begins, the sooner its results will be visible. On average, the minimum effect is achieved from 2-3 months, the maximum after 7-9 months. In the case of organic disorders, when the development of the child is very slow, the appearance of noticeable results of corrective work can stretch for months and even years.
How is a neurocorrection program compiled?
To draw up an individual program of neuropsychological correction, the following diagnostics are preliminarily performed:
– conversation with parents about the features of the development of the child, collecting an anamnesis;
– neurodiagnostics of the child.
Based on the survey, an individual training program is drawn up. The described program is designed to work with children with developmental disabilities. With 2 classes per week, the cycle is designed for 3 months. Next, you need a meeting with a specialist to adjust the program. The duration of one lesson is up to 45 minutes (depending on the age of the child and the diagnosis of the child).
